SCOTT MITCHELL ROSENBERG AT THE ABYSS SAID:

THE MYSTERIOUS MISTER SMITH, which involves a lot of about, you
guessed it, Mister Smith... and his past. There are some very intriguing contradictions in
what he says and knows. We also learn firsthand some of the terrors that Daniels supporters
are willing to inflict on those who don't join with them.
ASTIN AT DREAMWATCH SAID:

Awesome things happen. It's very scary when people claim to be working
on behalf of God. [Mister Smith is] sort of a litmus test against which the other characters are
able to show their quality. How do you respond to somebody who claims they're God? Are you
open to it? Are you cynical of it? Are you sceptical of it? Do you respond violently? Do you
respond optimistically? Is it a humorous thing? So it's neat, I think, for Joe [Michael
Straczynski] to see how the other characters respond to that.
ASTIN AT MGM NEWS SAID:

You just don't know what to make of him. Is he nuts, is he an extremely
clever spy, or is God really talking through him? I don't want to give away too much here,
but we are currently shooting an episode called 'The Mysterious Mister Smith,' which is
extremely revelatory.
