Crusade was a series that was doomed from almost the beginning. It was canceled after 13 episodes were made ... before any of them aired! The reason why is highly debated, but the general consensus is that there were creative differences between JMS and TNT. Over the years, there have been different orders in which the episodes were shown in ... the Original TNT, the UK and the JMS Preferred orders. The production numbers are in parenthesis. Let me know if you know of other orders to add to this page.

Original TNT Order

DESCRIPTION: This was the order that the series was first shown in. TNT had made some pretty unreasonable demands from J. Michael Straczynski, one of which was having a different introductory episode made (War Zone), which JMS ended up despising. Continuity-wise, this order perhaps makes the most sense with the costume changes and meeting people. DESCRIPTION: Since I don't live in the UK and have never seen the tapes either, this order is based solely on the way that was released on VHS tape. I can only assume that this was the same order it was shown on TV, but until someone corrects me on this, it will be the "UK Order". JMS Preferred Order (Sci-Fi Channel Order)

DESCRIPTION: You can read more about this order from JMS himself in his USENET posting. I think JMS stated it best in a USENET post he made on 4.27.2001 where he said: The general *plot* order is the one that's now airing. This is the order in which people would have met. When things got shuffled around, we had to do things like add in voice-over lines like "good to see you again" in the episode where they were first supposed to meet.
